📱 What Data We Collect

NoctMax collects and processes the following data only on your device:

• Audio Recordings: Voice recordings you create for hypnosis sessions
• Microphone Access: Required for recording your hypnosis scripts
• Session Data: Your created sessions, titles, durations, and visual preferences
• Custom GIFs: Images you upload for visualizations
• App Preferences: Your settings like playback speed and volume preferences

🎤 Microphone Permission

NoctMax requires microphone access to enable audio recording functionality. This permission is only used when you actively record hypnosis sessions. We do not listen to, record, or transmit any audio without your explicit action. You can revoke this permission anytime through your device settings.

💾 Data Storage - CRITICAL

All data is stored EXCLUSIVELY on your device using IndexedDB (your browser's local database).

We have no ability to access your recordings, sessions, or any other data. It never leaves your phone.

🔄 Backup Feature

NoctMax includes a backup feature that allows you to:

• Export all your sessions as a .noctmax file
• Store this backup anywhere you choose (Google Drive, iCloud, computer, etc.)
• Import backups to restore your data

This backup feature is completely optional and under your control. When you create a backup, you are choosing to export your data. NoctMax does not automatically back up anything.

📤 Third-Party Services

NoctMax does not share any data with third parties. The app functions completely offline and has no integrations with analytics services, advertising networks, or cloud platforms.

Netlify Hosting: The app is hosted on Netlify, which may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type) when you initially load the app. However, all app functionality and your personal data remain on your device after the initial load.

👶 Children's Privacy

NoctMax does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us - though please note we have no way to access any data stored locally on your child's device.

🔐 Your Rights & Control

Since all data stays on your device, you have complete control:

• Delete recordings: Remove any audio recording anytime within the app
• Delete sessions: Remove any hypnosis session
• Export data: Use the backup feature to save your data
• Clear all data: Uninstall the app to remove all data completely
• Mic control: Revoke microphone permission anytime

🌍 International Users

NoctMax is available worldwide. Regardless of your location, your data stays on your device and is not transferred to any country or server.

📝 Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of NoctMax after changes means you accept the updated policy.
